30-Year-Old Man Dies After Tire Flies Through Windshield

On Thursday, December 3rd, one man died when a tire from a westbound vehicle collided with his windshield. The accident occurred on Interstate 630 in Little Rock around 10 p.m.

The accident involved a 2021 Dodge Ram, which was traveling west on I-630 near Chester Street. The rear driver-side wheel of the Ram suddenly dislodged and traveled over the concrete barrier into the eastbound lane, driving through the front windshield of a 2013 Hyundai.

The Hyundai came to a rest in the third lane of I-630 E, and a 2014 Chevrolet was unable to stop before causing a rear-end accident, according to Arkansas State Police.

The driver of that 2013 Hyundai was Matthew Boswell, 30, of Trumann. Unfortunately, Boswell died from injuries sustained in the crash.

Conditions at the time of the crash as clear and dry and no additional injuries were reported.

This accident is proof that even when conditions are normal and everyone is driving safely, accidents can happen on the road.
