Two trucks collided in rural Clark County on Tuesday, June 15, killing one and injuring four. The collision occurred just before 5:30pm on Owens Road at the intersection of State Highway 8.
A Glenwood man whose name was not released was driving a 2007 Dodge Charger northbound on Owens Road, and a Norman man (name also not released) was driving a Ford F-150 eastbound.
The Dodge Charger, holding the driver and three passengers, attempted to turn west onto Arkansas 8 from Owens Road when the vehicle was struck by the Ford F-150, which was headed eastbound, at 5:27 p.m.
The Dodge Charger entered the highway and began heading west. The Ford F-150 hit the driver’s side of the Dodge Charger as it passed, injuring all involved.
Unfortunately, Makesha Golden, 35, a passenger in the Dodge Charger, was killed during the collision. Two minors who were also in the vehicle were injured and taken to an area hospital. According to Arkansas State Police, road conditions were clear at the time of the accident.
