ATTORNEY
Oliver Cushing is an attorney at Minton Law Firm, where his practice focuses on personal injury matters. He is responsible for evaluating new cases, working closely with clients during the critical early stages of their claims, and navigating the complexities of the pre-litigation process to ensure every case is positioned for success. He also provides essential legal support and training for the firm’s intake team.
Before joining Minton Law Firm, Mr. Cushing practiced in estate planning and elder law, where he advised clients on complex and high-net-worth estate plans, asset protection, and Medicaid planning strategies.
That background sharpened his ability to analyze difficult situations, negotiate with large institutions, and carefully review important documents — skills he now uses to help personal injury clients protect their interests.
His earlier experience in hospitality management also strengthened the communication and client service approach he brings to his practice today:
“When people call our firm, they are often dealing with stress, confusion, and a lot of unanswered questions. My goal is to help make the process easier to understand and give people confidence that someone is listening and looking out for their best interests. I want clients to know they do not have to figure everything out on their own.”
Mr. Cushing was born in Memphis, Tennessee. He graduated as salutatorian from Gateway Christian Schools, received his bachelor's degree in legal studies magna cum laude from the University of Memphis, and earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law. During his undergraduate studies, he served as Vice President of the Legal Students Association at the University of Memphis. While in law school, he was appointed to the Dean’s Student Advisory Board and also served in student leadership as Treasurer of the Student Bar Association, the Business & Tax Law Society, and the Sports & Entertainment Law Society.
Mr. Cushing has been practicing law since 2024 and is licensed to practice in Arkansas. He is also a member of the Arkansas Trial Lawyers Association. In addition to practicing law, he volunteers his time as a youth baseball coach in Maumelle. Outside of work, he enjoys exercise, being outdoors, collecting baseball cards, and studying history. He and his wife have two cats, Romeo and Louis.
