Early Morning I-30 Crash Involving Three Vehicles Claims Life of 23 Year Old

A three vehicle collision led to the death of a 23-year-old Malvern man on August 6, 2021. The crash happened around 3:30 a.m. on Interstate 30 in Saline County.

According to Arkansas State Police, the driver of a Chevy Tahoe hit the concrete median in the far left lane of the westbound interstate. The vehicle rolled on its side and a driver of a Toyota Camry pulled over to call 911. Unfortunately, a Jeep Cherokee collided with the turned-over Taho and the driver, found to be Cody Henley of Malvern, was ejected.

Henley was reported dead on the scene. The driver of the Jeep, 21-year-old Jake Hanley from Benton, was transported with injuries to Baptist Health Medical Center. Although the crash occurred in the early hours of the morning, the weather was dry and clear at the time of the accident.
