White Hall Council Member Killed in New Year’s Eve Crash

Andy Lunsford, a Ward City City Council Member in White Hall, AR, was killed in a car crash on New Year’s Eve. Rainy road conditions may have influenced the crash, which occurred near exit 7 of Interstate 530 in Pulaski County.

As a real estate appraiser, Lunsford was a major part of White Hall’s growth and was an important part of the development on Sheridan Road, a major thoroughfare in the growing suburb.

Lunsford, 48, was driving westbound on Pratt Road, along with a large 3-350 truck. A third vehicle, a 2015 Mustang, was turning onto Pratt Road from Ironton Road, and struck the side of the westbound E-350 truck.

The E-350 truck swerved into the left lane, striking a Toyota Tacoma driven by Lunsford. The Tacoma overturned, along with the other truck. The Pulaski County were called to the crash and were on scene around 3:45 p.m. Unfortunately, Lunsford was pronounced dead at the scene.

It is unknown whether the Mustang and E-350 truck lost control due to inclement weather or other factors.

Unfortunately, many car and truck accidents occur in the Little Rock area each year — some of which are fatal.
